Back in ’99, I really thought I was going to lose “Bet.” She was showing as well as any horse I ever had. In fact, she had just marked the highest NCHA run ever, a 233 at Houston. And then, suddenly, she suffered a rare fracture in her neck. But no one knew that at the time, they just couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. We drove all night to see Dr. Van Snow in California. After a CT scan revealed the fracture, he said, “Lindy, if she were mine, I wouldn’t risk surgery.” Van told me to put her on Platinum Performance®. And after a few months on Platinum and lots of rest, she came back. I tried to go slow, but she wouldn’t have it. She won the World Championship that year. I thought she wasn’t going to survive back then, and today, I am riding her grandbabies.
Why I Choose Platinum:
"'I put 'Bet' on Platinum and she hasn't gone a day without it since. With Platinum she seems to step stronger and have a quicker recovery time."
